Bryan Melville welcomes you to his siteHello

My name is Bryan Melville. I am originally from New Zealand and have lived in the UK for 25 years.

I trained to be an acupuncturist in Reading 20 years ago and since then have helped hundreds of people in many ways.

The style of Acupuncture I practice is called Integrated because it combines Traditional Chinese Medicine with 5 Element Acupuncture.

I feel this is the best way to help my clients achieve a healthier balance and get there more quickly.

I find TCM very helpful for relief of physical symptoms while the 5 Element style works really well with deeper, more emotional conditions.

Inspiration from nature

Before I studied acupuncture I worked as a landscape gardener and garden designer. I love getting my hands in nature and being connected with the weather and the seasons and watching things grow and change. This connection relates to the 5 Elements and how change comes from within.

When I moved from London to the countryside I wanted to have a garden where I could grow vegetables and fruit and be part of nature, have inspiring walks and nurture my spirit. This supports my work with clients.

Calm and Experienced

It is important to me to create a calm atmosphere in the treatment room and to be sensitive to clients needs.

Having many years of experience I have treated a huge range of different conditions and work hard to help people to feel safe and nourished.

From the start of my training I felt that acupuncture was a complex and fascinating way of treating people that allows them to help themselves.

I feel passionately that we need to take responsibility for our own health in conjunction with people who can assist us.

I have also trained to do Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture.

I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council and abide by their Code of Ethics and enjoy the Continued Professional Development.
